Obituaries

Donald L. Cullimore age 86 of Harsens Island, MI. died August 21, 2015 in the McLaren Port Huron Hospital.  He was born December 29, 1928 in Detroit, MI. Mr. Cullimore was a WW II veteran and Purple Heart recipient having served with the U. S. Marine Corp.  He owned Don’s Soda Shop in the 1940’s in Algonac, MI. and was a former owner of the Sports Hut in Marine City, MI. Mr. Cullimore is survived by his daughter Donna (John) Horvath, step-children Joe (Nicki) Montgomery and Tammy Montgomery, grandchildren Jennifer (Larry) VanTiem, Frank (Carrie) Cullimore, Ron (Connie) Cullimore, Nikki (Matt) Pardo, Alec Montgomery, Nicolas Montgomery, Jesse Montgomery, and Dalton McLane, great grandchildren Makailey, Landyn, Coy, McKenzie, Jordan, Sarah, Katie, Matthew Jr. and Aili, numerous nieces and nephews, and his canine best friend “Midget”.  Predeceased by his wife Patricia, a son Frank Cullimore, and a brother Jerry Cullimore. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday September 13, 2015 at his daughters home located at 2040 Golf Course Rd. Harsens Island, MI. 48028  Arrangements by the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac.
