Richard Christopher Derra

Age 71 of Algonac died January 7, 2007 in his home. He was born April 25, 1935 at St. Francis in Hamtramck, the only son of John and Stella Derra. He married Julie Meier on April 28, 1962 in Grosse Pointe Park. They lived in Detroit for 32 years. Richard retired from General Motors as an Electrician after 32 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling and bowling.
Survived by his wife Julie, sons Christopher (Ivonne), Stephan (Julie), Nicholas, Matthew (Tina) and Gregory (Renee) and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral Services 11:00 AM Thursday January 11, 2007 in the St. Catherines Catholic Church, Algonac. Visitation 2-4 & 6-9 PM Wedenesday in the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac. and 10:30 AM Thursday in the Church until time of Mass.
