Merle D. Fournier

Age 80 passed away in her Algonac home on October 1, 2007 after a long courageous battle against cancer. She was born August 27, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan.

Beloved and devoted wife of 60 years to Warren R. Fournier, married on February 7, 1947 in Algonac, Michigan. Dear mother of Warren J. (Jacquelyn) Fournier, Sharon (Gilbert) Wujcik, Donna (Dale) Lindow, David (Jennifer) Fournier and Kevin Fournier. Also loved by eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and loving sister Eleanor Hardwick.

She raised her children and later worked for Faith Medical Center and then Algonac Community Schools from where she retired.

She loved to crochet and knit and left with her family many cherished heirlooms. We are grateful to God for her 80 years of love and life.

Cremation arrangements have been made by the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Center.
