Dan Louis Hartman
age 85 of Algonac, MI. died September 2, 2014. He was born May 24, 1929 in Niagara Falls, NY. He married Ellen M. Martin on February 11, 1949. She preceded him in death on July 22, 2014.

Mr. Hartman served with the U.S. Coast Guard aboard the U.S.C.G.C. Acacia also at the St. Clair Flats Coast Guard Station.

Mr. Hartman is survived by his children: Lee (Ron) Wagner, Kurt (Kay) Hartman, Kim (Barry) Baldwin, Dan (Laury) Hartman, Jann (Frank) Kania; sisters Jean (Roger) Dole, June Hammett; sisters-in-law Dorothy (Jim) DeBoyer and June Martin, 17 grandchildren and 5 ½ great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday September 4, 2014 in the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac. Visitation 10:00 AM until time of service Thursday. Burial will be in the Oaklawn Cemetery, Algonac. Memorial donations may be made to U.S. Coast Guard Foundation.
