Joseph Roy Lafriniere
age 84 of Algonac, MI. passed away peacefully at his home on September 26, 2015. He was born October 9, 1930 in Detroit, MI. He married Mary Lou Rich on October 3, 1957 in Fraser, MI. and on October 3, 1987 they celebrated their 30 year anniversary by renewing their vows at the St. Catherines Catholic Church in Algonac.

Joe served as a radar tech for the U. S. Navy during the Korean War. He retired from Consumers Power after 34 years of service. He was a loved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

Mr. Lafriniere is survived by his wife Mary Lou, children Vicki Lane, Cheri Cleary, Steve Lafriniere, and Cathy (Sumner) Wheeler, brothers Robert (Joan) Lafriniere and Gary Lafriniere, daughters-in-law Margaret and Mary, 14 grandchildren 8 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Lafriniere was preceded in death by a son Joseph Lafriniere.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at 12:00 noon Saturday October 10, 2015 with visitation beginning at 11:30 AM, in the Our Lady on the River Parish St. Catherines Catholic Church, Algonac. Arrangements by the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac.
