Obituaries

     

Donald Madorski
age 81 of Deerpark, MI. died October 3, 2015 in the McLaren Macomb Hospital.  He was born May 18, 1934 in Detroit, MI.  He married Barbara Sienkiewicz on December 25, 1954 in Warren, MI. She passed away January 18, 1990 after 35 years of marriage.

Donald was an accomplished mold maker actually doing research on the first mammogram machine.  He retired from Energy Conversion Devices (ECD) in 1992 and moved to his beloved home in Deerpark on Lake Superior where he stayed the rest of his life.  He became affectionately known as the honorary mayor of Deerpark to his many friends, he loved nature and animals.  His hobbies included wood carving, gathering Agates on his beautiful beach and picking mushrooms and berries, and fishing.  He was a giving man and would do anything for his family and friends.

Mr. Madorski is survived by his children Mark (Kim) Madorski of Leonard, MI. and Cheryl (Gary) Gingas of Algonac, MI., a brother Richard (Jean) Mador of Newberry, MI.  grandchildren Neil Apolzan, Garrett Gingas, and Luke Madorski,  great grandchildren Alex Apolzan, Madalynn Apolzan, and Lilan Apolzan, and a niece Michelle (Richard) Kramer, and many others.  He will be missed greatly missed by his constant canine companion Jake and all his family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 PM Friday October 23, 2015 in the F.O.E Aerie 2784 Hall, 7542 Palms Rd. Ira, MI. 48023.  Arrangements by the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac.
